Ashleigh is a Columbia, SC native and has lived most of her life in Columbia. Always a mountain lover, Ashleigh ventured off to Brevard College to study liberal arts (many of them). She returned to Columbia to attend USC for a few semesters and to help create the opportunity to study abroad in Paris. Ashleigh then returned to Brevard to finish off her last semester of college and graduated with a degree in Integrated Studies of Liberal Arts. Ashleigh had known for a while that she was very interested in going to massage school, so right after graduation, she enrolled in The Center for Massage and Natural Health in the Asheville mountains. She studied many massage modalities, basic nutrition, and learned more about many other health and healing modalities. After graduation from CMNH and receiving her certification, Ashleigh immediately began working as massage therapist in the Asheville area for a local spa and in private practice.
In 2009, Ashleigh returned to Columbia where she began working on her long-term business plans and created RASA, which is a growing independent business.
In 2013 Ashleigh became a Registered Yoga Teacher after completing a 200 hour course and now offers private yoga classes for one or two people and teaches several classes at various locations.
Ashleigh has a long list of “what’s next” for her. She plans to continue her education in many other health and self care avenues (like Health Coaching, more massage modalities as well as in personal training, structural assessment and movement coaching, life coaching, intrinsic coaching, and esthetics)! Ashleigh wants to bring together as many components of healthy-living and bundle them into one great package of healing.
Erin Bailey SCLMT #6035
Erin Bailey is a South Carolina native and fell in love with movement at an early age. After obtaining her BFA in Dance from Columbia College in 2007, she pursued her certification and licensure in massage at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy. After many years of dancing, teaching, and massaging professionally, Erin received her MFA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University where her graduate study revolved around movement as a healing practice. Her love of massage and dance have been merging ever since, which led her into the field of Somatic Movement Therapy. In January 2016, Erin graduated from the Integrated Movement Studies Program, based out of the University of Utah and UC Berkeley, as a Certified Laban Movement Analyst and Registered Somatic Movement Therapist/Educator. Her passion is helping people move more efficiently and expressively with ease and joy. We are very excited to have her with us at RASA.
